Fantastic Four title page 3

This is a inkjet print of a preliminar step of the graphic translation of this title page.

Image could be in low resolution. The reason of it was the production process.

We worked on xeroxes (photographic prints in positive) submitted by Marvel. I scanned it in low resolution, and placed it in a layer of a Illustration file. Once I finished the lettering, I printed it to check how it would look in paper. The image posted here is a scan of this print, which has not the final look yet.

When I felt that the lettering was ok, I throwed away the low res image from the Illustration file, printed the lettering in high res, retouched it to look that it was hand drawn, and then I pasted it on the xerox. Sometimes I had to retouch the drawing on the xerox when my lettering didn't cover the original title.

In the spanish edition, someone lettered the balloons and someone else adapted more complex graphic elements, like title pages or shout out in panel pages which required more skill. Hence that balloons could be not lettered yet when I scanned the xerox, because sometimes we worked simultaneously.

I tried my best to keep the essence of the original lettering by Sam Rosen or Artie Simek. Bear in mind that I had to work with great budget and time limitations (and the editor didn't help, either!).
